During my stay in Chiang Mai, I checked out Local Cafe. Located at Think Park.
Think Park is located opposite MAYA Lifestyle Mall, which is at the entrance of Nimmanhaemin Road. The cafe itself is spacious and quiet.
When we talked about 'fusion cuisine', we often have this concept of Western and Asian fusion. At Local Cafe, it has elements of Western, Thai, Japanese and Korean influenced to their food.
I ordered tempura northern thai sausage rice set, a very good example of its Thai-Japanese fusion. Northern Thai Sausage or 'sai ua ไส้อั่ว' contains minced pork, red curry paste, spices and herbs. The northern Thai sausage is deep fried to a Japanese tempura fashion and served with Japanese rice, onsen egg, wafu-dressing salad and miso soup.
