[Taiwan] Tokiya 陶板屋 (Tao Ban Wu) Review

During my trip to Taiwan recently, I visited Tokiya (陶板屋/Tao Ban Wu), which opened many outlets in Taiwan. They offer Japanese, Taiwanese and Western inspired creative set meal for only NT518 (SGD21)!

I visited the outlet Guāngfù South Rd, which is adjacent to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall!

Salad: Orange and Beef Salad (香橙牛肉沙拉)

I am already impressed by their salad which looks so appetizing. The orange and sweet & sour dressing is a perfect combination with the slices of beef.

Appetizer: Baked Seafood with apple cubes (香蘋海鮮燒)

This mini-casserole dish has bacon, onions, mushrooms, and apple cubes.

Soup: Seafood Curry Cream Soup (海鮮咖哩濃湯)
Love the creamy soup with a hint of curry.

Rice: Deep-Fried Salmon Rice Ball (香蔥鮭魚炸飯糰)
The salmon rice in a golden deep-fried batter. The most presentable dish but I can't really taste the salmon.

Main Course: Tokiya Land & Sea (陶板海陸)
You can either ordered 'Beef & Fish', 'Pork & Fish' or 'Chicken & Fish'. The above is 'Beef & Fish'.

Desset: Five Colors of Fields Pumpkin Pie (田園五色南瓜派)
I ordered pumpkin pie with nuts, raisins, pumpkin seeds, wolfberries for dessert.

Tokiya is a family restaurant with a lively atmosphere. The servers were friendly, helpful and lively. The six course meal is very worth it. Food wise, although they call themselves "和風創意料理" which means Japanese-style Creative Cuisine, it has strong Taiwanese and Western influence too.

Food: 8/10
Service: 9.5/10
Ambience: 8/10
