Al Dente Trattoria (Esplanade)
I visited Al Dente Trattoria @ Esplanade last weekend. The review of this restaurant wasn't very good. Quoted a comment from Hungry Go Where, "pasta i had was on par with pasta mania". So it makes me wonder what will their pasta be like.
The outdoor area located at level 2 offers great postcard like scenery of Singapore River.
Bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
Love dipping bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The aroma of olive oil is simply delicious!
"Al Dente's Carbonara (SGD 26)"
Al Dente's Spaghettini di Carbonara. Basically, it's Carbarona with Smoked Bacon and Caramelised Onion and Cream Sauce with Egg Yolk. The pasta gets better with each bite. Definitely much better than Pasta Mania.
"Pizza Al Prosciutto di Parma (SGD 28)"
Pizza Al Prosciutto is actually Pizza with 24-month aged parma ham and buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil. Love having Parma Ham Pizza! Though its kinda salty. Was craving rock melon while eating the parma ham.
Italian dishes and Mediterranean-like sunlight. Feeling so Italy!
What a spread!

Dessert - Perfect way to end my meal. Tiramisu with ladyfinger (cookie).

By the time I finished my meal, it's already 8pm!

The day's outfit: T-shirt & vest from WEGO Shinsaibashi. Pants from The Cathay and shoes from a shop at Umeda Train Station.
Quench my thirst at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I had Green Tea Latte.
Overall, Esplanade's Al Dente Trattoria offers great view. So dining at level 2 is a must. The food is not too bad but I won't say it's really awesome. Service is above average.
